In order to further implement the school safety work policy of 'safety first, prevention oriented', build a campus safety wall, protect the safety of teachers and students, enable teachers and students to understand earthquake prevention, risk avoidance and escape knowledge, master emergency shock absorption and escape measures and methods, enhance the ability of teachers and students to avoid danger, self rescue, self-protection and respond to emergencies, improve the combat effectiveness of the school to quickly and effectively respond to and properly handle natural disasters, and thus maximize the protection of the life safety of all teachers and students in the school.

Preparation In Advance

On April 10th, before the drill, Director Zhang of the School's Political and Educational Affairs Department carefully formulated an emergency evacuation drill plan for fire and shock absorption safety, clarified the job responsibilities of each teacher and the evacuation route of the class, and clarified a series of safety popularization knowledge such as how the homeroom teacher conducts drill training for students to ensure the safe and orderly conduct of this evacuation drill.

Practical Exercises, Exercise Process

1.Emergency Shelter

On April 11th, one minute before the start of the drill, all class teachers, safety guides on each floor, and other relevant staff were in place in advance. At 14:00, the earthquake evacuation alarm sounded, and students quickly hid under the table and used their hands to protect their heads to avoid the earthquake.

2.Emergency evacuation

After the earthquake alarm, with the sound of the 'fire alarm' and thick smoke billowing, the evacuation drill officially began. Each homeroom teacher quickly organized students to evacuate and escape, with teachers providing guidance at corresponding locations. All teachers and students followed the designated route, bent down, covered their mouths and noses with their hands, cuffs, wet wipes, etc., and immediately evacuated to the school sports field. Each homeroom teacher counted the number of people and reported the evacuation situation to the commander. It took 2 minutes and 30 seconds from the classroom to the sports field, and the entire drill process was safe, fast, and orderly.

After the drill, Director Zhang Yongqiang gave a detailed explanation and demonstration on the correct and standardized use of fire extinguishers, and selected student representatives to try using the extinguishers.

Drill Summary

Director Zhang of the School's Political and Educational Affairs Office provided a comprehensive summary of the emergency evacuation drill process: he affirmed the tense, orderly, and systematic nature of the entire drill activity. All teachers and students were able to follow unified instructions and requirements, and each teacher performed their duties. The evacuation of teachers and students was quick and orderly, and students were able to respond quickly to emergencies. They also noticed the details that should be paid attention to when a fire occurred, achieving the purpose and effect of the evacuation drill; Director Zhang gave full recognition to this drill. At the same time, it also pointed out the existing problems and called on all teachers and students to further enhance their safety awareness, improve their emergency response capabilities, and jointly build a defense line of life.

This fire and shock emergency evacuation fire drill is a practical campus safety education, which not only enhances the safety awareness of teachers and students, but also accumulates 'combat' experience for our school's teachers and students, and exercises students' calm, sharp, rigorous and orderly psychological qualities in special situations; I hope all teachers and students can keep the alarm bell ringing, pay attention to life safety, stay away from disasters, and jointly create a safe and harmonious campus environment.
