Drug Prevention and Legal Education Enters Campus, Escort Youth and Help Growth - Qiyuan School Drug Prevention Campaign

In order to fully leverage the role of schools as the main battlefield for drug prevention education and timely carry out drug prevention education for students in the new semester, on the morning of March 15, 2023, under the guidance of the Xiuquan Street Narcotics Control Office in Huadu District, Guangzhou, the Xiuquan Street Narcotics Control Office, Xiuquan Street Judicial Office, and Xiuquan Street Comprehensive Governance and Stability Office of Huadu District, together with the Tonghe Compulsory Isolation and Detoxification Center in Baiyun District, Guangzhou, held a themed drug prevention propaganda and education event on the playground of Qiyuan School in Huadu District, Guangzhou, with the theme of 'Drug Prevention Propaganda Enters Campus to Escort Youth, I Lead the Way'.

Before the event began, Director Zhang of our school's Political and Educational Affairs Office introduced the attendees and leaders sitting on the podium, including Xu Taiping, Director of the Education and Correction Center of Tonghe Compulsory Isolation Drug Rehabilitation Center in Baiyun District, Guangzhou, Dai Dongsheng, Principal of Qiyuan School in Huadu District, Guangzhou, and staff from the Anti Drug Office, Judicial Office, and Comprehensive Governance and Stability Office of Xiuquan Street in Huadu District, Guangzhou.

Officer Xu Taiping, director of the Education and Correction Center of Tonghe Compulsory Drug Rehabilitation Center in Baiyun District, Guangzhou, went deep into the campus and approached students. He used vivid and lively language, case studies, interactive questioning, and other methods to help all teachers and students understand the types of drugs, the dangers of drugs, the significance of drug control, and the skills of preventing drug abuse. He warned teachers and students to 'cherish life, stay away from drugs', and effectively improve their ability to recognize, prevent, and reject drugs.

During the anti drug publicity campaign, staff from the Xiuquan Street Anti Drug Office, Xiuquan Street Judicial Office, and police officers from the Tonghe Drug Rehabilitation Center displayed drug samples to popularize the latest drugs and promote the harm of drug use to the body, thereby correctly guiding all teachers and students to stay away from drugs. At the same time, anti drug propaganda brochures and anti drug bookmarks were distributed to all teachers and students.

Immediately afterwards, all teachers and students lined up in an orderly manner to visit the drug booth display. The students carefully observed the types of drugs and consulted the police officers and anti drug office staff at the drug rehabilitation center to answer their questions about drug knowledge. They provided answers to each question raised by the students, enabling them to further understand and comprehend drugs.

Finally, Principal Dai Dongsheng of our school will summarize the anti drug publicity and education activities! Principal Dai Dongsheng analyzed and summarized from three aspects: what drugs are, the harm of drugs, and how young people can prevent drug abuse. And all teachers and students are required to study drug prevention knowledge seriously, improve safety awareness and self-protection ability.

The launch of this event has created a strong atmosphere of anti drug propaganda and education, with teachers and students singing the main theme of 'cherishing life and staying away from drugs', effectively enhancing the effectiveness of drug prevention education for primary and secondary school students, achieving effective radiation and extension of anti drug propaganda and education into schools and families, expanding the coverage of anti drug propaganda and education, and laying a solid foundation for creating a drug free, green, and safe campus.
